Summary: The hotel was nice, it was very clean, my room was perfect size for single traveler period the mattress was a little harder than I'm used to but it was still comfortable. Plenty of towels in the room for if you need to shower or wash hair. I did not purchase breakfast with my room so I do not know how the breakfast is. My main issue is that at check-in, I wasn’t asked to verify my card or offered to use a different one. They automatically charged my reservation card without informing me, only mentioning the city tourism tax. When I asked if I needed to pay that separately, he avoided the question and just said, “You pay here,” so I assumed it was separate. I paid the tax with my travel debit card, and he handed me the keys without mentioning the room was charged to my other card. I asked if I should pay at check-out, and he revealed the room was already charged. I explained I wasn’t aware and would have preferred to use my other card to avoid foreign fees. He looked it up, seemed unsure if it was even charged, so I checked my bank account, told him I saw it and it was fine since it was already charged, but he didn't acknowledge me and he then refunded the amount without asking, which took a day to process and didn't cover foreign transaction fees. And I had to pay again with my travel card. If I was on a tighter budget, that could've seriously screwed things up for me. As it is, the main thing is the lack of communication, doing things with my card without checking with me.
